Bought this primarily to store a full-size spare tire rather than carry it inside my Honda Odessey Van. For that purpose, it was perfect! This is a 1st Class product and if you follow the simple installation instructions, you will have positive results. Every seam is reinforced, every zipper covered in velco, straps are also reinforced. Travelled a total of 1500 uneventful miles with it. On glitch was there was a slight noise caused by not having the entire space filled, so I used a tiedown strap with a racket on to solve that. Only caution: THIS IS NOT WATERPROOF. For me carrying a spare tire, it didn't matter. But if you looking for something waterproof, this is NOT it. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this product, it folded up nice and neat in its own storage bag ready for our next trip. Based on other bags I saw that fell apart, this one won't! Its well worth the money!

It is easy to attach to our SUV, holds a lot of luggage and, if secured right, does not slip around - you don't even know its there. This is a great product I would buy again.

I've used this once so far for a weekend camping trip. It performed very well in dry weather. I haven't tried it out in the rain yet, I will this winter. It holds a lot more than you think. Very easy to access. Very quiet in travel. I drove with the sunroof open and couldn't hear it flapping in the wind. It is very durable too.

I read the reviews, both good and bad, before ordering. But since most of my trips are summertime with littel chance of rain I decided to purchase.
We travelled about 80 miles round trip and had no problems whatso ever. I did put my sleeping in black trash bags for puttting them into the carrier in case it rained, but I would have done that anyway, even if others hadn't suggested it. It just makes sense when dealing with a fabric carier instead of a hard case.
Further, I have no idea what one of the other buyers stuffed into it to rub the inside lining off. I certainly wouldn't put anything with sharp or hard edges.
The only other thing is the straps do tend to flap against the roof if not tied up or otherwise restrained. But the same thing happens with my canoe straps or anything else, so I'm not holding that agians Thule
It's a great product for the price.

Have nothing negative to state. Well designed. Didn't rain so I had no issue when going to the Poconos 4 hour drive at 75 MPH. Didn't need any extra fastners worked well with the four included.
